The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is filled with memorable side quests that showcase the vast world of Hyrule. Among these unique adventures, the quest titled "A Bottled Cry for Help" stands out as an intriguing nautical rescue mission along the coast of Necluda. Players who venture near Hateno Bay can discover a stranded message that triggers a rewarding rescue effort.
Starting the Quest in Hateno Bay
To begin this quest, travel to the coastline located southeast of the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab. Search the shore along Hateno Bay to find a message washed up in a bottle near shipwreck debris. Reading the letter reveals that a stranded fisherman named Chumin is trapped inside a nearby cave and needs assistance.
Building a Raft and Following the Trail
Reaching the location where Chumin is trapped requires navigating across open waters. You can construct a reliable vessel using Ultrahand by combining wooden planks, a steering stick, and a Zonai fan. Once afloat, follow the floating trail of Brightbloom seeds and flowers drifting in the sea to stay on course toward Mapla Point.
Rescuing Chumin and Claiming Your Reward
Follow the Brightbloom trail until you reach Mapla Point Cave along the eastern cliffs. Inside the cave, you will find a large boulder blocking the passage where Chumin is held. Use Ultrahand or a fused heavy weapon to remove the obstacle, freeing Chumin and completing the quest for a Silver Rupee reward.
